               *** AUTHOR INFORMATION ***

Note: Maintenance of this program has now been taken over by Tom Tanner, who
does have a Risc PC but is unutterably boring. He can be contacted by email on
ttehtann@argonet.co.uk. All queries to him please.

Here is some far more interesting information about the original author...

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you would like to contact me, or just want to know where to send the Risc PC,
then below is my address; feel free to write:

 Andrew P. Lindesay
 PO Box 28 548

 NEW ZEALAND

However on a restricted budget answering could be a bit difficult so don't
expect a reply!

My eMail address is apl@kcbbs.gen.nz

-----------------------------------------------------------

I live in the city of Auckland in New Zealand. For those who haven't a clue
what I am talking of, New Zealand is a small country to the right of and not
including Australia. Both of these countries are in the southern Pacific Ocean.

...and now a plug for the NZ economy...

-=> BUY NEW ZEALAND MADE FOR IT *IS* BETTER <=-

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you are looking for some interesting and invigorating new rock music, give
"The Muttonbirds" a try. Um, sorry that was inadvertantly another plug for NZ.
And another single I can strongly reccomend is "Like She Said", by "The
Exponents" <- haven't heard their new album yet. Damn there I go again...enough
about NZ. Also on my suggestions list is "Crowded House". Hmmm, opps done it
again. But enough about music, this isn't a music guide is it?

-----------------------------------------------------------

the 'puter stuff : I have a lowly A4000 with ARGH! 2 %@$# megs of %$#@* RAM,
which makes doing anything difficult. I would very much like to upgrade to a
RiSC PC ASAP. This application will hopefully make that possible.

(Tom has a Risc PC with Strongarm, 48+2Mb Ram, demented wife)

-----------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to Luke Hutchison and Mathew Broadbent for testing on the Risc PC.
Several suggestions from Luke have been taken up and others will appear in
later versions. Also many many many thanks to Mathew Broadbent for his memory
manager that is used in FontPages and FontChars.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Anyway I hope the software fills a hole and that it's a pleasure to use. If you
have anything sensible that you think it should do then please tell me (Tom)
because I'm always upgrading it.
